Designed for whisky fans, this package creates a sumptuous Taste of Scotland dining experience with wine and three specially selected Scotch whiskies in the elegant Castlehill Suite within The Scotch Whisky Experience.

The Cannonball

Cannonball House is an iconic three storey building dating back to the 17th Century. It is bursting with character and history, nestled at the top of the Royal Mile. Cannonball House is run by renowned local Italian-Scots restaurateurs Victor and Carina Contini.

With this package enjoy a delicious five-course tasting menu showcasing Scotland's artisan suppliers and growers, seated in a historic and warm setting located moments away from the Castle Esplanade. The award-winning team at Cannonball House, will ensure your Tattoo night is unforgettable from the moment you start your dining experience.

Experience the very best of Scottish Hospitality in the iconic Scottish National Gallery located in the heart of Princes Street Gardens. Following supper, your host will lead the way to Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, via Ramsay Lane, bypassing the main Tattoo queue, for the Tattoo performance.

Two-course light summer supper with a mulled apple juice to take-away
A glass of sparkling wine on arrival, a large glass of specially selected wine with your meal and a dram of whisky to finish
A host to lead you on foot from The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant to the Tattoo arena via Ramsay Lane, bypassing the main queues

The Royal Gallery Dining Expereince

With fantastic views over both the City of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Gallery is a unique setting in which to relax and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner before the Tattoo performance. Self-confessed food fanatics, the team at award-winning Heritage Portfolio combine passion, creativity and culinary expertise to produce exquisite dishes packed with flavour using local, seasonal ingredients.

Following dinner, you will take your seats in The Royal Gallery section of the arena where you will join the evening’s Salute Taker, fellow Tattoo guests and dignitaries.

The Gatehouse

Dine in Edinburgh Castle's intimate 19th Century Castle Gatehouse overlooking the Esplanade, where you will be treated to a fine dining experience with wine followed by coffee, tea and traditional Scottish tablet.

Set in a magnificent location for an unforgettable evening, you and your guests will have private use of the Castle Gatehouse until it is time to make your way through the great oak doors of the Castle drawbridge and down the Esplanade to take your VIP seats in The Royal Gallery where you will be joined by The Salute Taker, fellow Tattoo guests and Dignitaries.
